Juanita “Marie” Spooner, 76, passed away on 11/10/ 2025 at her home with her loving family by her side.
Marie had married the love of her life, Harlan Spooner, on December 7th, 1968. Together they built a beautiful family.
Marie was a well loved and caring individual. Always there to lend a helping hand to any family in need. She spent a large amount of her time volunteering at Birthright.
She always strived being as supportive as she could. She has been a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 62 years, Harlan Spooner, 4 daughter, Sherry Criss, Kim Walantus, Melissa Brown and Heather Spooner: 1 son Mark Spooner; 15 grandchildren, Mark Spooner Jr., Dustin Criss, Candace Brown, Joanie Spooner, Harlan Lucia, Nikki Yates, Alisha Brown, Cheryl Yates, Brandan Lucia, Chelsea Riley, Victoria Brown, Jacob Spooner, Katie Strong, Chanel Brown and Isaac Spooner-Larabee. 29 Great grandchildren; 4 Brothers, Raymond, Harold, Dan and Kenneth Hendrie. 2 sisters, Cathy Beshaw and Mildred Rivers; along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Thomas and Catherine Hendrie, Marie was predeceased by her daughter Barbara-Jo Yates: 4 brothers; Thomas, Robert, Norman and Herman Hendrie along with 1 sister, Judith Senecal.
Service will be held at Browns Funeral Home on Monday, November, 17 at 2pm-4pm .
Church service will be held on Tuesday November, 18 at St. Peter's Church in Plattsburgh, NY , followed by burial at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
