Hannah Y. Charters

Hannah Y. Charters, 46, of Navarre passed away at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Medical Center in Canton on Tuesday, August 6, 2024.
Born on March 4, 1978 in Bertha, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Olivia Charters of Stow and the late Gregory Charters. Attending Fairless Local Schools in her early years, she was a 1996 graduate of Marysville High School and The Ohio State University with a Bachelor's degree in criminology and sociology.
She had worked in the insurance industry and most recently at U.S. Ecology in Canton. Hannah's greatest gift was her great sense of humor, and her natural ability to make people laugh. She enjoyed having fun, and appreciated pulling a good prank on family or friends. She took pride in flower gardening, especially her sun flowers, excelling at basket weaving, and cherished her life on the Alabama and Pigeon Run family farms. Her greatest joy was supporting her son Braxton's activities whether it was 4-H or sports, she loved him very much.
In addition to her mother Olivia, Hannah is survived by her son Braxton Gregory Charters of Navarre; brothers Hauns (Veronica) Charters of Ashburn, VA, Shaun (Chrissy) Charters of Jeffersonville, OH; sister Sarah (Thomas) Donahue of Marysville, OH; uncles and aunts James (Pansy) Henderson of Brewster, Constance Long of Canton, Lynell Elmlingler of Buffalo, WY, Blaine Thoman of LaBarge, WY, Beverly Carroll of Pocatello, ID, Margaret Vickery of Kemmerer, WY, Holly and Richard Doyle of Bellows, VT; and nieces and nephews, Evan and Grant Donahue, Wade Charters, and Victoria and Adeline Charters.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, father Gregory, and uncle David Thoman.
Per her wishes, cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life service will be hosted by the family at a later date.
Spidell Funeral Home in Brewster is assisting the family with arrangements.
