I am a first year student at St. Mary's School of Radiography. Although I never worked with Dr. Dransfeld, I have had the pleasure to meet him several times. Through his vision and hard work he has touched my life and all the radiography students throughout the years. We will all miss him. My love goes out to the Dransfeld family in this difficult time.

I first met Dr. Dransfeld in June 1973 when he accepted me into his Radiology program at St. Mary's. He was a brilliant man with a great sense of humor. That didn't mean he couldn't be stern at times! I thank him immensely for allowing me to obtain a career in Radiology. In 1979, he approached me to open his first Ultrasound Dept. I now reside in South Florida as a independent registered sonographer making a fantastic living. I couldn't have accomplished this had Dr. Dransfeld not chosen myself as one of his 12 Radiology students back in 1973. It was a memorable pleasure to work with him for 14 years. My heart and prayers go out to his entire family. He will most definitely be missed.

I am so grateful that he had a vision to begin the institution and am glad to be a part of it now. I am sorry for your loss and pray that God will comfort your family as only He can.

My prayers are with you as you go through this trying time. I can't imagine losing my father. I really don't know what I would do. I did lose my grandfather though. Although it was very difficult, remembering the good times made it easier. May God be with you as you cope.

I am a Clinical Instructor at SMMC School of Radiography. Unfortunately,I never had the privilege of working with Dr. Dransfeld; however his involvement with the hospital and founding of the school show greatly his desire to help and better others. I am sure that his legacy will greatly live on in this community and in the lives he has touched. My prayers go out to the family and loved ones of Dr. Dransfeld. I pray that God will provide comfort and peace as only he can in such a seemingly unpleasant time. I would also like to share a scripture which I hope will be beneficial in this time of sorrow: "The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart; and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous are taken away from the evil to come. He shall enter into peace; they shall rest in their beds, each one walking in his uprightness." Isaiah 57:1,2. God bless your family.

I am deeply sorry for your loss and a great loss for the community. I just wanted you to know that I was thinking about you and to say thanks for the visit while I was in the hospital. I just wish there was something I could say to ease the pain but the only thing is to remember all the good times you had with your father and how many people he has touched over the years. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

Love you, Diana Haas

I always had a great deal of respect for Dr. Dransfeld.

He always made me think and added a laugh to these thoughts growing up.

I still have found memories of him giving Joe and I some words of wisdom when we came

I have said prayers for "Aunt" Donna, Hans, Joe, Cathy, and the kids.
