Hans was a gentleman in every sense of the word, he would help anyone who asked. I've known Hans for years when he first brought his kennel to Colorado. His sense of humor was legendary, always had a smile on his face. Rest in peace my friend.

I met Hans while I was a Security Guard at Derby Lane. He and Peter when Peter was in town would stop at Guard gate just to chit chat with me. They were both a pleasure to work with. Rest in Peace Hans Bill Peterson

Hans was the funniest man I ever met, it scares me to think how funny he´d have been if I understood everything he said. I started this great passion that is Greyhound Racing with Hans and Elly in the early 1980´s. We went to Wonderland and ran second in the Grady Sprint with Lamper and later that year we ran 2nd in the Seabrook Great Greyhound Race. Both very memorable experiences, more because of Hans than hitting the ticket in the finals. Then 34 years later winning the Derby Lane Remembrance Stake with Poweroftraction. Hans was always the bigger than life presence In any room. He and Elly were an unbelievable team, never to be duplicated, impeccably efficient, and always fun to be around. The world has now lost the second half of the classiest twosome to ever grace a Greyhound Track. They are now together again, as it should be. Hans, thank you for everything!
