Harley Cheeks, a cherished soul known affectionately as Harley to his friends and family, passed away on September 26, 2025, in Pickens, SC, at the age of 31. Born on April 16, 1994, in Greenville, SC, Harley's life was one marked by love, passion, and a remarkable talent for music and mechanics.

He was the beloved son of Anthoney Cheeks and Jeannie Lee Cheeks, a brother to Natasha Haley Brantley and Megan Stansell, and a guiding light in the life of his son, Cynfrid Harley Fernando Cheeks. His loving fiancée, Micki Mills, stood by his side, sharing in his dreams and aspirations. Harley's family was the cornerstone of his life, and he was a source of endless joy and pride for them.

Professionally, Harley was known for his exceptional skills as a mechanic. His hands were gifted in the art of restoration, and he could breathe new life into the oldest of engines. His colleagues respected him for his knowledge and dedication, and his customers trusted him for his honesty and expertise. Harley's work was not just a job; it was a testament to his ability to connect with the world in a tangible and meaningful way.

Beyond the garage, Harley's passions were manifold. He was a musician with an innate ability to coax melodies from any string instrument. His skill as a guitarist was matched only by his proficiency as a drummer. Music was Harley's second language, one through which he communicated his deepest emotions and brought joy to those around him.

Harley was also an avid collector, with an eye for the unique and the historical. His collections of coins and comics were more than hobbies; they were reflections of his love for storytelling and preservation. Each item in his collection had a story, and Harley was always eager to share them with fellow enthusiasts.

Those who knew Harley would describe him as loving, intelligent, and gentle. His presence was calming, and his intellect was inspiring. Harley approached life with a gentle demeanor that belied his profound strength and resilience. He was a man who loved deeply, thought critically, and moved through the world with a quiet grace.

Harley's legacy is one of love, artistry, and genuine human connection. He leaves behind a world that is brighter for his presence and a void that will be felt by many. His family and friends will carry forward the memory of his laughter, his music, and his indomitable spirit.

As we bid farewell to Harley Cheeks, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and passion. He will be dearly missed by his parents, Anthoney and Jeannie Lee Cheeks; his son, Cynfrid Harley Fernando-Cheeks; his fiancée, Micki Mills; his sisters, Natasha Haley Brantley and Megan Stancell; and the countless family members and friends whose lives he touched. Harley's story does not end here; it continues in the hearts of those who loved him and in the beauty he left behind in the world.
