Harley "Alan" Triplett, a beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully at the age of 57 on October 30, 2025, at Atrium Heath in Lincolnton, NC. He was born on November 15, 1967, in Gastonia.
Alan is remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family and his incredible sense of humor that brought joy to those around him. He had a unique ability to make others laugh and find lightness in everyday moments. As the years passed, Alan expressed a special fondness for the holiday season. Christmas was a time of excitement for him, filled with cherished traditions and warm gatherings with loved ones.
Alan is survived by his father, Harley Osborn Triplett and stepmother Joan Boyles Triplett; mother, Patricia Anne Shook Triplett; brother, John Triplett; sister, Julia Triplett; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins, who will all hold dear the memories of his spirit and laughter.
Alan was preceded in death by grandparents, Evalena Holland Triplett, Curtis Shook, Norma Shook; and uncle James Shook.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Alan's life during the funeral service that will take place at Greene Funeral Service - West Chapel, 216 Archie Whitesides Road Gastonia, officiated by Pastor Bobby Duran and Pastor Tom Chidester on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Prior to the service, a visitation will be held from 1-2 pm. The burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
As we gather to honor the life of Alan, we invite all to share their fond memories and stories, keeping his light alive in our hearts. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire those who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Hopebridge Autism Therapy Center 2700 X Ray Drive Gastonia, NC 28054.
The West Chapel of Greene Funeral Service located at 216 Archie Whitesides Road is honored to be serving the Triplett family.
