Statesboro, Georgia Mr. Harold Kenneth Carrington, age 85, died Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at Westwood Nursing Center, under the care of Regency SouthernCare Hospice. He was the son of the late Harold F. and Lettie Carrington. Harold graduated high school in 1958 and in 1967 he married Blondean Miller. He worked for several years as a machinist for J.P. Stevens. He and his wife later owned and operated a cleaning business for many years. Harold also had a lawncare service where he enjoyed taking care of neighbors, friends and local businesses, lawns. Harold was a lover of the outdoors, and often he was seen sitting in a favorite swing for hours, just enjoying the peace of nature. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a son Kevin Carrington; a granddaughter, Alexis Carrington; four siblings, Marcus Carrington, James Carrington, Dorothy Kirkland, and Nellie Carrington. Surviving are 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Jay and Miranda Carrington and Ken Carrington all of Statesboro; four grandchildren, Ryan Carrington, Kymberlyn Fielder, Kaelynn Fielder and Kyleigh Carrington; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Miller and Debbie Silkett both of Atlanta and two great grandchildren, Addyson and Bailey Olin. Services will be Friday, September 5, 2025, at 4:00pm in the chapel of Joiner-Anderson Funeral Home with Pastor Lynward Campbell officiating. The family will receive visitors following the service. Our family would like to extend special thanks to Westwood Nursing Center and Regency SouthernCare Hospice for the kind, heartfelt, professional care that was provided to both our dad, Harold Carrington and mom,Blondean Carrington.
