It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Harold Lloyd Couch, a beloved son, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and self-employed builder, who left us on December 26, 2025, in Rockwood. Harold was born on July 11, 1930, in Burlwind, West Virginia to Doc and Nellie (Music) Couch. He married the love of his life Elizabeth Ann Toor on October 4, 1950. Sadly she preceded him in death April 23, 2013. His journey began and his values of hard work and determination were cultivated.
Harold was known for his unwavering dedication to his craft and his self-motivated spirit. His work as a builder reflected not only his skills but also his passion for creating spaces that would become a part of so many lives. His legacy will live on through the structures he built, each one a testament to his hard work and commitment to quality.
Harold's family was his pride and joy. He is survived by his loving children, Susan (Michael) Young, Michael (Stephanie) Couch, Martin (Jessica) Couch, and Kathryn (Nicholas) Morris, who cherish the memories and life lessons he shared with them, as well as a daughter-in-law Shirley Couch. His legacy also includes nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, each of whom brought endless joy to his life.
He is preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth; a son, Mark Couch, and four siblings, who together shaped the person he became. Their memories will forever hold a special place in his heart.
