Harold "Joseph" Cowdrick III ,42 of Toms River, NJ died on Monday July 28, 2025. Born in Lakewood, NJ he is a longtime resident of Toms River. Joseph graduated from Toms River High School South and then from Georgian Court University.

Joseph was a Band Director at St Joseph Grade School and taught Trumpet and Piano at the Music Academy in Toms River. He also was a member of the Pinelands Symphonic Band. His legacy will continue on in the lives of the children he mentored and poured his knowledge and love of music at St. Joseph Grade School.

Surviving is his loving wife Maritza (Barrios). His Parents Harold "Pete" Jr. and Kathleen (Johnson). His sister Olivia Cowdrick and her wife Karen Olson and his Maternal Grandmother Pauline "Nan" Johnson. As well as many extended family members.

There will be a Memorial Gathering on Saturday August 2, 2025 from 2 to 4pm with a Service at 3:15pm at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals,145 St Catherine Blvd., Toms River, NJ.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in honor of Joseph Cowdrick to the Mental Health Association in New Jersey or http://savethemusic.org/.
