In Loving Memory of Harold J. Deemer

Harold J. Deemer, age 83, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025. Born on August 30, 1942, to John and Helen Deemer, Harold lived a life defined by unwavering love, quiet strength, and a deep devotion to those he held dear.

He was the beloved husband of the late Susan Deemer, the love of his life, whom he married in 1968. Together, they built a beautiful life and a family that became Harold's greatest joy. Every step he took, every decision he made, was always for them.

Harold is lovingly remembered by his daughters, Kimberly (Curtis) Glover and Shelly (Greg) Hill; his adored grandchildren, Taylar, Kala, Kylee, Jacob, and Jaxon; and his cherished great-grandchildren, Easton, Greyson, Bethany, and Blakely. Devoted brother to Janet Abbey and a treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews.

A proud veteran, Harold served in the United States Air Force as a Military Policeman. He later retired from Ford Motor Company after more than 30 years as a respected Supervisor. Known as the man who "said it like it was," Harold was a problem-solver through and through-if he didn't know how to do something, he'd find a way.

Harold's heart was immense. He shared a special bond with each of his children and grandchildren, always eager to pass down his wisdom, stories, and love. His loyal canine companion, Max, was never far from his side, and together they made countless memories.

In his younger years, Harold could be found on the golf course, out on the boat, or enjoying a good card game. Later in life, his joy came from simpler pleasures-meticulously mowing his lawn and even tending to his neighbors' yards, just because he cared. That was Harold: always looking out for others, always giving without asking for anything in return.

If you listen closely, you might still hear his voice-offering a bit of advice, a warm chuckle, or one of his unforgettable pearls of wisdom. He had a way of making everyone feel seen, heard, and loved.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of Bay City McLaren Hospice for their tender care during Harold's final days.

Visitation will be held Monday from 3–8 PM, with a Funeral Service on Tuesday at 9 AM at Wujek - Calcaterra & Sons Inc. (Shelby), 54880 Van Dyke at 25 Mile Rd. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
