I was so very sorry to hear of the passing of "Stretch". He and my mother, Barbara King, worked together at Charles Jones. I met Stretch when I was about 8 years old. He was the tallest man I'd ever seen and looked like he stretched! I never called him anything else in almost 50 years.
Over the years, we shared many memories and heartfelt, deep conversations. I last saw him at my mother's funeral in 2021. In a weird twist of fate, he died on the same day as another best friend.
You can now philosophize and play ball with the best.
Blessings to his family....

So sorry to hear about Harold“s passing. I met him as a freshman in college and he was not only the best basketball player I ever played with but a great person and a role model. He will be sorely missed by the entire quinnipiac community as he embodied what a student athlete should truly be. Rest my piece brother

Dear Dotty,
We were extremely saddened to hear of Harold's death. We send our thoughts, prayers and condolences to you and your dear family. Please know that you have been in our prayers for weeks, since we heard the news. I had the privilege of working with Harold at Mobil NECC in Pennington. I will always remember his smile. He was a true gentleman. Eternal rest grant upon Harold, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May his soul and the souls of all the faithfully departed through the mercy and divine grace of God, rest in peace.
Blessings, peace, and love,
Gwen, Jim and the DeForte Family
