Harold Dean "Hal" Gurr October 12, 1952 – August 18, 2025 Harold Dean "Hal" Gurr, 72, of Canton, Georgia, passed away on August 18, 2025. Born October 12, 1952, in Albany, Georgia, Hal was the son of James Harold and Connie Peterson Gurr. Hal lived a life full of curiosity, adventure, and love for the outdoors. He found joy in motorcycle riding, photography, hiking, canoeing, and exploring the beauty of nature. A true tinkerer at heart, Hal delighted in taking things apart and putting them back together-whether it was electronics, firearms, antique fans, or his favorite, oil lamps. Above all, Hal loved his family deeply. He is survived by his devoted wife, Sherry Gurr of Canton, Georgia; his brothers Earl Gurr of Acworth, Georgia, Doug Gurr (Dianne) of Marietta, Georgia, and Chris Gurr of Ukiah, California. Services will be held at a later date.
