Harold D. Hamsher, age 95, of Marengo, passed away Friday, October 25, 2024, at Rose Haven Nursing Home in Marengo. A service and inurnment will take place at the Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas, Texas on Friday, November 22, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is assisting the family with arrangements.
Harold is survived by his son's Harold (Kathy) Hamsher. II of Ladora, Daryl (Katherine) Hamsher of Lone Oak, TX., six grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2004, his parents, a daughter Creta Christina Hamsher, granddaughter Lillian Hamsher, two brothers and one sister.
Harold Dean Hamsher was born April 28, 1929. In Parsons, Kansas, the son of Emmett Louis and Jennie Noetta Woodman Hamsher. Harold enlisted in the U.S. Air Force on November 21, 1950, serving his country until September of 1953. He was united in marriage to Dorothy Henry on February 15, 1958. Harold worked in the tool room for the National Cash Register in Los Angeles, Aerojet, and also Rocketdyne in Sacramento, California. He enjoyed bowling in a league with his wife Dorothy.
