Harold Lamar Ivester, of Braselton, passed away on Sunday, December 8th, 2024.
Harold was the devoted husband to Margaret for 64 years. He was the loving father to Kenneth Ivester (wife, Cindy Ivester), Bobby Ivester (wife, Lana Ivester), and Susan House (husband, Bryan House). He was the joyful and proud grandfather to 7: Katie Lockman, Ben Ivester, Lauren Kaluzniak, Maggie Calella, Hannah Ivester, Gracie Groover and John Isaac Ivester. He was the great grandfather to 9: Wilder Lockman, Wells Lockman, Wheaton Lockman, Graham Kaluzniak, Micah Kaluzniak, Lucy Kaluzniak, Ellis Calella, Evelyn Calella, and Eden Calella.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Martha Ivester. His brother, Charlie Ivester and sister, Linda McAvoy.
Harold was a master carpenter. His family will cherish the many furniture pieces he crafted for them over the years. They would often find him working in his barn or his garden. He enjoyed going to the beach with his family, snacking on Little Debbies, and a good cup of coffee.
His family will always remember the joy of the Lord that Harold carried. No matter where he was, children were always drawn to him. He was baptized by his son, Bobby Ivester at the age of 72. Harold faithfully attended New Haven Church.
A celebration of life service will be held at 6:00pm on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at New Haven Church. Reverend Bobby Ivester will officiate. The family will receive friends at New Haven Church on Tuesday from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
