Harold Flood Johnson (Jimmy)90, of Monroe, Virginia departed this earthly life on Friday, December 12,2025 at Fairmont Crossing, Amherst, Virginia.
Harold was born September 14,1935 in Buckingham County, Virginia. He was the son of the late Ranford and Estell Thomas Johnson, Grandsons of the late Mr. and Mrs. Tom and Murdis Gary Thomas, Mr. and Mrs. Louella Johnson who all has preceded him in death.
He was preceded in death by two children, Cynthia Johnson Hall and Harold E. Johnson
Harold was a member of Rose Chapel Baptist Church and attended until his health failed him. He was married to the love of his life Gracie Perry Johnson. Harold retired after sixty years as a Ceiling Mechanic work that he enjoyed doing immensely.
Harold better known by most as Jimmy is survived by his loving wife, Gracie, daughters, Rose, Marie Johnson, and Tajunna Petty(Herman) sons, Daryl Johnson, Casey Johnson,(Tamber) and Darrell Perry. His Grandchildren, Anastasia Slaughter, Synethia Petty Jillian Johnson, Jarrett Johnson, Rakim Johnson, Jewanza Johnson, Jenard Johnson, Jihnai Johnson, Storm Johnson, Rain Johnson, Blaise Johnson, Breez Johnson, and Olivia Christian. Four great grandchildren. Two Brother in Laws Robert L. Perry, Melvin Kyle Four Sister in Law’s Bertha Kyle, Lula Perry, Delores Turner and Deborah Ware. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins and Friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg. A visitation will be held one hour prior. Burial will follow at Rose Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
