KEEVEN, Harold – of Chesaning, died Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Union Court Assisted Living in St. Charles. He was 84 years of age.
Harold was born in Saginaw County on April 21, 1940, a son of the late Ferdinand and Sophie (Lienau) Keeven. He was raised in St. Charles then resided in Chesaning most of his life. He was united in marriage to Kathleen E. "Kathy" Hill on October 7, 1961, and they were members of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Chesaning. Kathy preceded him in death on November 25, 2021. Harold retired from General Motors in October 1989 with 30 ½ years seniority. He enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing and being with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was also a member of the Lions Club.
Surviving are: children: Kaylene (James) VanWagner of Chesaning, Robert (Julianna) Keeven of DeWitt, Corey Keeven of Lansing; 4 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, Bernard (Ruby) Keeven of St. Charles; sister, Marlene Van Patten of Holt; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by: sister, Anna Blaine; and a brother, Herman Keeven.
Funeral services will be held at 11am Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Zion Lutheran Church in Chesaning. Pastor Paul Tessmer officiating. Burial to follow in Wildwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Misiuk Funeral Home on Monday from 2-8 pm and at the church on Tuesday from 10am until time of services at 11am. Contributions in his memory may be made to Zion Lutheran Church or the wishes of the family. You may light a memorial candle or share a memory at misiukfuneralhome.com.
