Mr. Harold Lester Mabe, Sr., 93 of Pinnacle, born February 29, 1932, passed away October 4, 2025, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson, NC surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Mabe was predeceased in death by his wife, Lorene Mabe; daughter, Wanda Gibson; grandson, John Lee Mabe, Jr. (Little John); and a great granddaughter, Adrienne Mabe. Left to cherish his loving memories are his daughter and son-in-law, Juanita and Joe Guarino; two sons and daughters-in-law, Harold L. Mabe, Jr. and wife Jackie Mabe, and John Lee Mabe, Sr. and wife, Dee Dee Mabe; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a special friend. Mr. Mabe proudly served our country in the US Army, having fought in the Korean Conflict. The family would like to give a heartfelt thank you to the staff at Village Care in King and to Mountain Valley Hospice of Dobson for all of the love and care given to Harold and the family. The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 7, 2025, from 12:00 – 2:00pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00pm at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy. Burial will follow in the Crestview Memorial Park in Rural Hall, NC with full military rites provided by the VFW Post 9436. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
