Harold Franklin McCutchen passed away at the age of 88, surrounded by family on May 3, 2025. A graveside service will be held on May 24, 2025 at 1:30 pm at the Fairview Cemetery in Bronte, Texas. A gathering will be held afterward from 2:00 - 4:00 pm at the Senior Building, 613 E Oliver, Bronte, Texas.
Harold was the third child born to Luther Franklin and Eula Maud McCutchen on January 13, 1937, in Hayrick, Texas. He was raised in Bronte and graduated from Bronte High School. Most of his career history was working for El Paso Natural Gas Company. His passion for horses resulted in him being an active member of the Fort Chadbourne Calvary, as well as an avid trail rider.
He loved his family, had many friends and was kind to all. Harold enjoyed genealogy and had a gift for remembering family member names and relationships, always on the lookout for another McCutchen to connect with.
Harold was proceeded in death by his parents, Luther and Eula Maud Phillips McCutchen, his first wife, Edith Joyce McCutchen, son David Franklin McCutchen, brother, Jerry McCutchen, sister-in-law Joanne McCutchen, brother-in-law Larry Abbott, stepson Donnie Grant, grandson Justin Grant and granddaughter Kasha Grant.
Harold is survived by his wife, Gina Mullins McCutchen, siblings, Marlon McCutchen, Rita Abbott, Keith and Vicky McCutchen, sister-in-law Bette McCutchen, children, Lynn and Kim McCutchen, Beverly and Ignacio Munoz, Susan and Ronnie Henderson. Grandchildren Kristina Langley and family, Nick Munoz, Amanda Munoz and family, Luke Robertson and family and Leighton Henderson. Stepsons Bill Grant, Jr., Craig and Kara Grant. Step-grandchildren Portia Grant and family, Chambry Grant and family, Patrick Grant, Hegan Lamb and family and Cassie and Cody Aaron. Many nieces and nephews of the Faries and McCutchen families.
Memorial contributions may be made to either the West Texas Boys Ranch (https://wtbr.org) or the West Texas Rehab Hospice (https://westtexasrehab.org).
