Harold McGowan Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by O'Guinn Family Funeral Homes - Montrose Chapel on Jan. 2, 2025.
McGowan, Harold "Howie" – of Genesee County, age 53, passed away Thursday, January 2, 2025, at his residence. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. No services at this time.
Howie was born May 28, 1971, in Flint, Michigan. Howie shared a beautiful 14 years of love and companionship with his wife, Rachel McGowan, before they celebrated their union in marriage on July 10, 2021. His dedication to his work as a Technician at TM Smith Heating and Cooling reflected his commitment to the HVAC industry, where he proudly contributed for over 40 years. Howie's spirit was alive in his love for the great outdoors. He found joy in camping, fishing, and soaking up the beauty of nature. He was a passionate supporter of local racing events, frequently sharing those exhilarating moments with family and friends. Above all, Howie's greatest legacy is the love he shared-he was an exceptional husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are: Wife, Rachel McGowan; Children: Alex McGowan, Krysten (Eric) Olejnik, Chyanne Crow; Grandchildren: Nathaniel Crow, Payton Crow, Chloe Meyer, Kaeden Meyer, Colton Carl, Ayla Carl; Mother, Virginia McGowan; Brother: Michael McGowan; Nieces and Nephews: Shelby Partlo, Kyle Goza, Jordan (Lauren) Goza, Tristan Goza; Great nieces: Abbi Morin, Aliyah Goza, Amelia Goza, and Lainey Goza.
