Harold George Miller, 84, of Pleasant View Road, McVeytown, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at his home.

Born March 17, 1941, in Ryde, he was a son of the late Harold B. and Grace M. (Swartz) Miller. On July 14, 1972, he married Doris M. (Kauffman) Miller, who survives.

Also surviving are a son, Aaron M. Miller and wife Noah of Lynchburg, Virginia; and a grandson, Elijah R. Miller.

Preceding him in death were a son, Daniel J. Miller, on Oct. 16, 2018; an infant son, David W. Miller, on Sept. 10, 1973; and his four brothers, Gary W., Norman L., Ronald E., and Clifford T. Miller.

A 1959 graduate of Rothrock High School, he served six years in the Army National guard before working in the quality assurance lab at Standard Steel from 1971 until his retirement in 2003.

He was a member of the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren.

George enjoyed watching the trains in Mattawana, and in his younger years was an avid hunter and fisherman.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren with Pastor Connie Maclay officiating. Interment will be in Pine Glen Cemetery.

A viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time-of-service Saturday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Pine Glen Church of the Brethren, 61 Pine Glen Rd., Lewistown, PA 17044.
