How 25 yrs seem like yesterday. I write continuously on here like a diary, not trying to forget one moment as I begin to grow older and feel I'm losing my way! I miss you and love you like never before. In fact I married someone who easily could be a clone of you! I know you would have really loved being around him. He laughs at old videos of all of us like I do...
Especially the parts of you ... What missed opportunities and years if all the stars were aligned we could be together...
Waiting and Praying to see you on the other side. Till then I keep you in my heart and ask you to watch and protect over momma. 25yr. My broken Promise!
I Love You Daddy!

Well, years passed and what seems to have been important in my life, I may only find once again in my death!
It never gets easier without you being here with me. I miss you laugh, your silliness to make people happy, but most of all, I miss our talks. God...
I wish you were still here with me...
I Love you Daddy, Always Sharon

My first memories of "Uncle Perry" was from the 70's when my Granny (Gloria Jochum Serpas) was working "in the booth" at Pap's. Uncle Perry was always a fun presence to a little kid. Always with a huge smile and an animated presence.

My favorite memories were from the 80's when he gave my Granny Mardi Gras ball tickets. We would dress up every year in our fancy clothes and go to the ball. After the show, we would go downstairs to Uncle Perry's table on the floor to see him. There would be jugs of "Blue Hawaiian" and they would always let me have a little. Such fun times and fun memories. (It's Mardi Gras season now and seeing photos from a ball reminded me of Uncle Perry and led me here.) Rest in Peace and I hope you are having a ball in heaven.

I found this guest book by chance while searching the web and am so happy to read the wonderful thoughts shared by those who loved "Mr. Perry" as I did. My memories are so vast it could fill volumes of books. Good memories. I suppose it was the norm in the 60's and 70's to work and play as hard as Harold did, but nobody did it like he. Early in the morning til late at night and a few beers in the snack bar, nothing like it then nothing, like it now. His finest moment was KING of Okeanos, his dream come true. I can go on forever, but let him rest in peace with my dad, Joe Pap"s. God bless Joyce,Kathy,Michael,Patti,Wayne and Sharon.

So very sorry to hear of Harolds
passing. I will never forget the
kindness and hospitality that Joyce
and Harold showed a 17 year old
that had just landed in England.

Harold, what would Hingle family
dinners at Nan's house have
been without you? I'll always
treasure the the time spent sitting
around the dining room table
after dinner , playing cards, and
especially telling jokes and
stories. P.S. I am sure that you
and my father are swapping
stories now.

Great Pawpaw-You told my mom she
was going to have a baby boy, and
here I am. Guess what? My hair is
red too, just like you said it
would be. I know I never got to
meet you in person, but I know now
that I have the greatest gaurdian
angel to look after me as I grow.
Mom and Grandma will make sure that
I know everything about you, I love
you Pawpaw. Hugs and kisses to the
heavens. -Little Jimmy

Pawpaw- the first time I met you I
fell in love. I'll never forget
that you told me you would gladly
be my Pawpaw since all of mine
passed away when I was a child. I
wish I could have met you sooner,
so I could have spent more time
with you! You danced with me, you
laughed with me, you told my
fortune, and predicted my beautiful
baby boy. I know you will look
down on us every day. Everytime I
see a break in the clouds and the
light shining through, I know that
is you, looking down on me from
heaven. I love you and will miss
you very much.

That Girl.

Daddy-I always thought you hung the
moon. Now, I know you light the
sky.You make the stars shine, the
moon glow and the sun bright. You
will forever remain in the my heart
and thoughts. Your ability to make
me laugh will be greatly missed,
but memories of you will be passed
down from generation to generation.
Your legacy will never be
forgotten. Until we meet again,
forever your daughter, Patti

Harold gave me my first job as a
buggy boy at Paps. I then got to bag
and then work in the snack bar. I
met Eirleen there. We use to go the
beach to play the horse races and
the ball like bowling game. Harold
was very good at these games and he
used to win a lot of tickets to turn
in for those horrible cheap prizes.
It's too bad gambling wasn't legal
then! For some reason Harold liked
to take me there with him. It
relieved stress I guess. I knew he
was very good at running a register
in the grocery. I couldn't
understand how he could remember all
those price and was lightning fast
on the register. His own grocery
tape was a mile long. I couldn't
believe all the food he bought.
Harold loved special liquors, and
fancy drinks. He used to smoke a
whole lot. He was crazy about music,
dancing, and of course cards. It was
a trip watching him cut up so much
with the kids like a kid himself! Of
course he spoke very loud, and told
jokes to anyone who would listen. He
was the consummate cut up. He was very involved in the
whole Mardi Gras scene, and I was
always jealous I didn't get invited
to be in the balls. He was always a
real party person at the Bay. I used
to like and kid around with him and
play croquet. I am sorry we all did
not stay as in touch as families
sometimes do, but he was always
surrounded by lots of family of his
own. I will miss Harold and will
often think of the m
