Born on March 29, 1944, in Avery County, he was the son of the late Vernon and Faye McKinney Pittman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Janice Griffith and her husband, Jack and a nephew, Corey Pittman.
Harold was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was a member of the Henson Creek Baptist Church. He was the owner/operator of Appalachian Appliance for over fifty years.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife; Ann Wise Pittman of the home, his sister; Gerri McClellan and husband, Ken of Spruce Pine; his brothers; Sherrill Pittman and wife, Lana of Newland, Phil Pittman and wife, Patricia of Spruce Pine, and Derrell Pittman and wife, Sherry of Newland, his aunt; Denise Kurucz, his niece; April Pittman; his nephews; Ricky Griffith and wife, Missy and Stephen McClellan, and several cousins.
Graveside services and burial will be on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at 3:30 pm at the Pittman Cemetery with the Rev. Kegan Hoilman officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Shriners Hospital.
