Harold Richard Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Woodbine Funeral Home - Hickory Chapel on Jun. 24, 2022.
Harold Richard 'Rick' Proctor age 78, was born in Nashville on July 21, 1943, and graduated from West High School in 1962. He met his wife Joette while they both worked at Emma's florist in 1971 and were married on May 20, 1972.
In his life, Rick was ever the entrepreneur and salesman. In his twenties, he owned and operated Midnight Hour on the corner of 4th & Broadway in Downtown Nashville. After a few years of door-to-door sales in the 1970s, he and Joette opened McPac, Inc., a photography studio and photo lab in 1975. Rick went into partnership with Mike Paschal in 1982, opening Antioch Insurance where he remained for 25 years. In 2007, he tried very briefly to retire but after just one year began working in heating and air sales throughout Nashville for the next 15 years with his last position at Parthenon Plumbing, Heating & Cooling, where he was employed until his death.
Rick also dedicated much of his free time to youth baseball, coaching teams in Nashville for over 15 years. His faith in Jesus Christ, his family, and Crieve Hall Church of Christ meant a great deal to him. He and Joette celebrated 50 years of marriage in May 2022.
Rick is survived by his wife, Joette Proctor; son, Jimmy Proctor (wife Megan); daughter, Mandy Murray (DJ Murray); brother-in-law, Jay Rigsby; and grandchildren, Anna Proctor, Nate Proctor, and Skylar Murray.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, June 27, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 5852 Nolensville Road by Bill Watkins, Pat Waggoner, Lain Tomlinson and Larry Felts. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers: Troy Tant, Brian Passons, Lain Tomlinson, Mike Paschall, Nate Proctor and Jeremy Hood. Visitation will be Sunday, June 26, 2022, from 2-5 p.m. and Monday from 10–11 a.m. at Woodbine Funeral Home, Hickory Chapel, 615-331-1952.
