Harold Roster Obituary
March, 2025 at the age 0f 92. Born on September 29, 1932 in ST. James, MO.
He was a beloved husband, father and family man.
He is preceded in life by his wife Therese (Schubert) Roster and son, William
(Henry) Roster, parents Henry and Irene (Snelson) Roster; three brothers
Randolph Roster, Raymond Roster, and Ralph Roster and two sisters Clara
Venable and Betty Brand.
Harold a devoted Christian, family man and patriot lived a life of service, who
believed in hard work and deep love of family. He was drafted during the
Korean War and continued to serve for over 22 years, retired as a Sergeant
First Class. He served in several leadership positions such as a Platoon
Sergeant and First Sergeant, and received numerous awards, ribbons and
medals. After retirement, he continued working in such positions as the Food
Manager at the Missouri Veterans Home and Maintenance Manager at a senior
living apartment complex in Rolla. For relaxation he enjoyed golfing and
fishing, but most of all he loved family gatherings.
Harold will be greatly missed by his surviving family which includes: son, Willi
Roster and wife Henny Roster of San Antonio, TX and daughter Michele Roster
of ST. James, MO; twin sister Harriet Sedlacek; four grandchildren Willi (Brian)
Roster, Megan Witherell and husband Dale Witherell, Aubry Glaze, Michelle
Becker; seven great grandchildren Lillian Gully, Colton Gully, Owen Gully,
River Witherell, Alaiyah Witherell, Adalynn Johnson, and James (Jim) Rogers.
Funeral services for Harold Roster will be conducted at 1p.m. preceded by a
12:30 viewing on March 14, 2025 at the 9th Street Christian Church in Eldon,
MO.
Memorial contributions are suggested to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
