HAROLD J. SIMMONS, JR.

Harold J. Simmons, Jr. entered eternal rest on Friday, August 29, 2025, at the age of 82. He was a native of Delcambre, LA and a resident of Westwego, LA. Harold was a graduate of Grambling State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree. He was a retired account clerk with the Jefferson Parish Juvenile Court System. Beloved husband of Cloretha J. Simmons. Devoted father of Arnita S. McGowan and John E. Simmons, Sr. Son of the late Harold J. Simmons, Sr. and Isabelle Simmons. Brother of Martin Allen Simmons, David Otis Simmons Ronda Berard, and the late Ina Ray Dozier, Lois Linden, and John Gerald Simmons, also survived by 4 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends. Relatives and friends of the family, also priest and parishioners of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church, and neighboring churches; members of Grambling State University Alumni Association are invited to attend the Celebration of Life at Davis Mortuary Service 6820 Westbank Expressway, Marrero, LA on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at 10:00a.m. Father Buddy, Celebrant.
