Mr. Harold Timothy Smith, 70 of Dobson, NC, passed away on Friday October 17, 2025, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. He was born March 3, 1955, in Baltimore, MD to the late Harold Emmanuel Smith and Cecile Ann West. Mr. Smith retired as Vice President of Spencer’s Infant’s and Children’s Wear and was a member of Bear Trail Baptist Church. He loved his pastor and church family. He loved to hunt and fish, was a huge Kansas City Chief’s fan, and loved his drag racing. Papa Tim loved his family, especially his granddaughters whom he spoiled. Mr. Smith spent most of his life selling and buying antiques. He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Patricia Ann McCraw Smith; sons and daughters-in-law, Travis D. Smith and wife Steffanie, Adam Brian Smith, Jonathan Jackson Phillips and wife Eden, and Jordan Wayne Phillips and wife Jordan Ann; four granddaughters, Adilynn Ann Phillips, Marlee Mae Phillips, Destiny Marie Smith, and Ali Bree Smith; three sisters, Bo Casey and husband Rick, Liz Early and husband Harvey, and Wendy Halsey Richardson; brother and sister-in-law, Gene Halsey and wife Amy; and a host of other family and friends. Per Mr. Smith’s wishes, there will not be any formal visitation or services at this time. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
