HAROLD E. UPHOUSE
Harold E. Uphouse, 77, of Akron, passed away the afternoon of April 5, 2024. He was born to the late Ellsworth and Araminta (Mort) Uphouse on July 8, 1946, in Somerset, Pennsylvania. Later, he moved to Akron, graduated from Hower High School in 1965, and married the love of his life, Barbara in 1967. Together they built a family and home filled with love beyond measure.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death in 2020 by his Wife, Barbara; and brother, Allan Uphouse. Cherishing the traditions and memories made are those who survive; daughter, Colleen (Clyde) Frye of Mt. Vernon; sons, Hiram (Jeanette) Uphouse of Uniontown, Albert (Jennifer) Uphouse of Canton; grandchildren, Matthew (Amber), Christina (Laura), Leslie (Lexi), Nathaniel, and Melody; and sister. Mary (Charles) Nida of Uniontown.
In his younger years, Harold enjoyed fishing and hunting. He worked as a diesel mechanic, was a huge fan of the Steelers and Guardians; and enjoyed time shared with family and friends. He was kind and thoughtful and will be missed by many.
Family and friends are welcome for visitation on Wednesday, April 10, 2024, from 10:00 to 11:00 am, Hecker-Patron Funeral Home, Uniontown, where the services will begin following visitation at 11:00 am. Pastor Rusty Richards will officiate. Interment will take place at Hillside Memorial Park, Akron.
The family kindly requests Memorial Contributions may be made in Harold’s name to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or Hospice of Northeastern Ohio.
