Harold A Wentworth (Pete) was born on May 26, 1933 to Harold Arnold Wentworth Sr. and Mariam Jones in Detroit, Michigan.
He graduated from Lehigh University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and received a Master of Business Administration from the University of Louisville. He served in the US Army.
Pete lived in Louisville, KY, serving as Senior Vice President for Louisville Gas & Electric (LG&E), later moving to Baton Rouge, LA, where he held the same role at Cajun Electric. After retiring, he relocated to Homosassa Springs, FL.
His interests included working on cars, gardening, watching car racing, football and was an avid photographer and genealogy enthusiast.
Pete was preceded in death by his wife of over forty years, Patricia (Lay), daughters Martha Anderson and Susan Wentworth, his parents, and his brother Michael.
Survivors include his sons Harold Wentworth III, Peter Wentworth (Beth), and Patrick Wentworth (Christine); grandchildren Justin,Amy, Melaney, Katelyn, Lauren, Reece, Patricia, and Gwyneth Wentworth; twelve great-grandchildren; his brother David; and his companion of more than twenty years, June Ackerson.
A small family service to held.
Memorial contributions may be made to the National Genealogy Society or the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranch in lieu of flowers.
