Conrad Ruth
Harriet
On Friday, November 21, 2025. Harriet died peacefully in her sleep. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William A. Conrad, her parents, Henrietta and William W. Mansfield as well as her youngest daughter, Rebecca Conrad Delo. Harriet is survived by her sons: Dale (Rebecca) Conrad, Jeff (Sherry) Conrad, James (Margaret) Conrad, and daughter: Leanne (Mark) Conrad Evans. She is also survived by her younger brother: Bill Mansfield. Harriet was proud of her extended family including cousins, nieces, nephews, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Golf, bowling, playing cards, reading and solving puzzles consumed Harriet's days during most of her adult years. She loved to garden and work in her yard - except when she had to rake those darn acorns in the fall! She liked to get up early, get her hubby off to work, then nap before executing her daily activities. Her passion, however, was spending time at their Marienville camp with her family and friends. She especially cherished her "girl's weekends" when they occurred. A passion for travel was developed when Harriet and Bill traveled to various cities for Army reunions. She took pride in her driving skills and happily volunteering to commandeer the car and hit the road as often as she could. She even drove the family "golf" van so her elderly friends would not be left out. Harriet made many friends through her travels and communicated with many of them through her later years. Although Harriet was not a trained nurse, she provided excellent care to Bill as they navigated a transplant journey together. Many doctors complimented her skills and abilities as Bill continually grew stronger and became a transplant success story! She leaves behind a legacy of strength, friendship, and caring. She displayed a willingness to help others, even at a moment's notice. Harriet will be deeply missed by all whose lives she has touched. Family and friends will gather to share memories and experiences on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Soxman Funeral Homes, Ltd. 7450 Saltsburg Road Pittsburgh, PA 15235. Where a Funeral Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. following visitation. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to your favorite charity.
