Harriet Cuel (nee Thompson) of Algonquin, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family October 27, 2025. Born April 7, 1935 to the late Thomas and Louise Thompson in Avenue Maryland. Beloved wife of the late Frank E. Cuel for 56 years; loving mother of Karen (John) Witkowski, the late Maryann (Jon) Young and Jean (Steve) Freund; caring grandmother of Krista (Justin) Helmich, Jessica (Anthony) Zaldivar, Breanna (Alex) Jackson, Steven (Courtney) Freund, Brittany Young and Trevor Freund; great grandmother of Adrian and Ariya Zaldivar, Cassidy Freund, Everly Jackson and Oliver Helmich; fond sister of Billy (Alice Ann) and George (Frannie) both whom reside in Maryland. Harriet was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Cremation rites have been accorded. She will be laid to rest in Jellico, Tennessee next to her husband and daughter in the Spring of 2026.
