Harriet Sandra “Sandy” Woodrum, 67, of rural Veedersburg, passed away at her residence 8:13 PM Wednesday March 27, 2024 with her family at her side.
Sandy was born May 16, 1956 the daughter of Henry Woodrum and Rebecca Jane Andrew Woodrum. She married Delbert L. Woodrum in 2001; they had been together since 1978.
Surviving family include her husband, Delbert L. Woodrum, Veedersburg; step-daughters, Linda (Larry) Cunningham, Indianapolis; Donna (Bill Wheeler) Inman, Veedersburg; step-son, Richard (Dana) Woodrum, Veedersburg; step-mother, Kaleen Woodrum; sister, Rita (Terrell) Furr, Kingman; grandchildren, Kayla Cunningham, Corey (Nicole) Cunningham, Ashley Cunningham, Amber Cunningham, Allison Cunningham, Amanda Inman, Tristan (Brian) Wolf, Morgan (Garrett) Inman, Clayton Inman, Jessica Woodrum, Dale Hathaway, Aaron Woodrum, Sophia (Devin) Knighten, great-grandchildren, Cash, Logan, Michael, Tinslee, Myles, Kaylee.
She is preceded in death by her parents; a brother Eugene Woodrum; sister, Mary McCollum; and a step-daughter, Sarah Hathaway.
Sandy graduated from Turkey Run High School. She was employed for 29 years at Steel Grip, mostly in Covington but the last few years in Danville before her retirement in 2019. She enjoyed crocheting, collecting owl figurines, gardening, and taking care of her flowers. She loved her dog and cats; but more than anything she loved and enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Service will be 6:00 PM Tuesday April 2, 2024 at Dickerson Funeral Home in Veedersburg with Pastor Gary Johnson officiating. Visitation will begin at 4:00 PM Tuesday April 2, and continue until the time of service at 6:00 PM. Online condolences at www.dickersonfuneralhome.com
