Harriet Young Obituary Harriet Elnor Young of Warsaw, Indiana passed away on Friday, April 25, 2025, at Lutheran Kosciusko Hospital in Warsaw at the age of 77.
She was born on February 2, 1948, in Warsaw, Indiana to Tena D. (Laffen) Ranso and Tony A. Ranso. For the majority of her life she lived in Kosciusko County, Indiana. In her youth she moved to Blackduck, Minnesota where she graduated from High School in 1966.
Harriet was married in 1966 to Lewis Dean Young, sadly he passed away in 1972. Over the years she held various jobs and one of last places she worked at was as an aid at The Hope Link, a Senior Care center in Warsaw, which she very much enjoyed.
She attended services at The Salvation Army in Warsaw and enjoyed being involved with the Warsaw Senior Center. Most of all she dearly loved her family and will always be remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sherri Young (Warsaw, IN); three sons, Ron Young (Pierceton, IN); Jeremiah (Jennifer) Young (Mentone, IN); and Tony Young (Warsaw, IN). Also surviving are seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren; and her sister, Marlene (FL). She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Lewis Young, daughter, Corinna Young, brother, Dick Ranso and her sister Margaret.
Harriet's life will be celebrated with a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 2, 2025, at The Salvation Army - Worship & Community Center, 501 E. Arthur Street, Warsaw, Indiana and officiated by Envoy Ken Locke. She will be laid to rest at a later date at Mentone Cemetery, Mentone, Indiana.
