Harrison "Rusty" Workman

Harrison "Rusty" Bailey Workman, 66, passed away on December 24, 2025. He was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on May 9, 1959, to his late parents, Frances and Harrison Workman.

Born and raised in the Iroquois housing projects, Harrison was a proud, self-proclaimed redneck whose humor and sarcasm could light up any room. He lived by his favorite saying, "Tough times don't last, tough people do," a motto that defined his grit, heart, and unwavering dedication to his family.

For 25 years, he worked the 3rd shift at Inland Container, so his loved ones would never go without. A man who found joy in simple pleasures, he loved cooking fried bologna, egg and cheese sandwiches, devouring cheeseburgers, and savoring chocolate milkshakes. His love knew no limits-fierce and loyal-and when his grandchildren came along, they softened him in ways no one else could, bringing out the best in the man they simply called "Pop-Pop."

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Michael Valuska.

Rusty is lovingly remembered by his children, Amanda Workman and Chad Workman (Que); grandchildren, Jayden, Jazlynn, Bailey Grace, Jordynn, and Ella; and brother, Charles "Dusty" Workman (Donna).

Please Join us for a celebration of life luncheon, honoring Rusty Workman. It will be Sunday, January 4, 2025, from 2:00-4:00PM, at Lindsey's Kitchen. In honor of Rusty, some of his favorite dishes will be served: cheeseburgers, fried bologna with fried egg, and grilled cheese sandwiches, with sides of chips and fries. However, the full menu will still be available.
