Mr. Harry C. " Chip" Beideman, Jr., age 76 of Murray Manor, Wilmington, Delaware passed away at home on Sunday, July 13, 2025.

Born and raised in Elsmere, Delaware, he was the son of Doris Ann Eastburn and Harry C. Beideman, Sr. He graduated from John Dickinson High School, Class of 1966. He had attended St. Mark's United Methodist Church, Wilmington, Delaware. He was also a graduate of Culinary Institute of America

Chip was a veteran of the United States Army, during the VietNam era. He was a Sergeant in QuarterMaster's Command with NATO and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

Prior to retirement, Harry worked in customer service for several years and had previously been the General Manager of a local McDonald's franchise location.

Harry enjoyed gardening and working on his yard; watching the "old school" television shows like "Leave It To Beaver", traveling and trips to his West Virginia family where he often enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.

In addition to his late parents, Harry was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce Wayne "Pop-Pop" Beideman, who passed away in December 2013. Harry is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Deborah R. Dukes Beideman; his three sons, Eric, husband of Beth Beideman, Christopher and Charles Beideman; his eight grandchildren; his brother, Ken Beideman; his sister-in-law, Jean Beideman; his nieces and nephews; his mother-in-law, Nancy Dukes and the extended West Virginia host of cousins and relatives.

Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services.

An evening viewing will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services, located at 2100 Rodman Road, Wilmington, Delaware 19805. A morning visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, Jul 18, 2025 from 10:00 am to 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M.

Burial will be held promptly at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 24, 2005 in the chapel of the Delaware Veteran Memorial Cemetery, 2465 Chesapeake City, Road Bear, Delaware 19701. Military honors will be afforded by the United States Army and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 475, Newark, Delaware.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to assist with the funeral services be made directly to the Williams Funeral Home and Burial Services.

Just heard of Chip´s passing. Ken and I were childhood buddies. And all the kids in Penndrew manor looked up to Chip ( and Bruce too). I remember that they were never `too cool´ to hang with us..
