Harry James “Jim” Bloom
With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jim Bloom, aged 84, a resident of Canton, Georgia, who peacefully departed on April 13, 2024. Jim was a family man and possessed a deep faith in God. His life was adorned with simple joys: the delight of watching his Atlanta Braves baseball, relishing a hearty meal, and sharing abundant laughter with loved ones and friends.
Jim possessed an extraordinary gift for making everyone feel like an old friend. His warmth was boundless, his humor infectious and he left a first and last impression with every personal interaction.
In his journey, Jim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, JoAnn Bloom, his devoted parents, Jesse and Betty Bloom, and his dear brother, David Bloom. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness, survived by his eldest daughter, Carolyn Bloom; his son and daughter-in-law, Steve and Allison Bloom; his son, Jeff Bloom; his daughter, Deborah Bloom; along with his cherished siblings and their spouses: Andy and Janice Bloom, Dick and Lucy Bloom, and Tim and Janine Bloom. Additionally, Jim leaves behind a host of adoring grandchildren, extended family members, and countless friends.
Funeral services to honor Jim's life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at Sawnee View Gardens 1390 Dahlonega Hwy Cumming, GA 30040 with Dr. Andy Bloom officiating. May his memory be a source of comfort and solace to all who were touched by his laughter, love and gentle spirit.
