Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - St. PetersHarry R. Davison, born on March 27, 1937, passed away on December 6, 2025. He lived a full and remarkable life, marked by grit, determination, and unwavering love and devotion for his wife. Harry was a man who spoke his mind and stood firmly by what he believed was right, regardless of how others viewed it. Yet beneath that tough exterior was a heart full of humor, warmth, and kindness. His devotion to his wife, Barbara, was endless, and his love for family steady and clear throughout his life.
Harry’s career began with humble beginnings—changing transmissions in a New Jersey garage—and grew into a meaningful role within the defense industry. His passion for automobiles stayed with him always, extending beyond his work and settling deeply into how he enjoyed spending his days. Whether he was watching the market, catching an episode of the Barrett-Jackson auction, or making sure every blade of grass in his yard stood just right, Harry found joy in the things he loved.
He is survived by his loving children: Kim (Adam) Wood, Kelly (Jeff) Bakelmun, Laurie (Thomas) Johnson, and Kelly (Michael) Tessereau. He was a proud grandfather to Cody Wood, Samantha Bakelmun, Justin Bakelmun, Nicole (James Harris) Bentz, Trevor (Jaime) Bentz, Daniel Tessereau, and Emily Tessereau, and a cherished great-grandfather to Colton Bentz and Quinton Harris. His life touched countless others—family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Harry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Barbara J. Davison, and by his parents, Harry and Helen Davison. The memory of his industrious nature, his sharp wit, and his deep capacity for love will forever remain in the hearts of those who carry his legacy forward.
Visitation services will be held on December 20, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home in St. Peters, MO. The memorial service will follow, beginning at 12:00 PM and concluding at 1:00 PM. A reception will follow. These gatherings will provide family and friends an opportunity to honor Harry’s life and share cherished memories.
