Harry Draper Obituary

Harry Draper, a lifelong resident of Tamworth, New Hampshire passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, February 23, 2025.
He was the owner of Highway Choppers, a motorcycle shop located in Tamworth, New Hampshire.
Harry was a kind, gentle soul who was liked by all who had the pleasure to know him. He loved to hunt and fish. But his first passion was riding his motorcycle, then later, his classic car.
He is predeceased by his father, Harold Draper of West Ossipee, New Hampshire and his mother, Mary Anthony of Tamworth, New Hampshire.
Harry leaves behind his loving wife Amy Draper of Tamworth, New Hampshire, his brother Donny Draper of Tamworth, New Hampshire, his stepson Adam Betts of Limerick, Maine and his beloved grandson AJ Betts of Limerick, Maine.
Harry will be fondly remembered but dearly missed.
All are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life, on Saturday, March 15, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Lord Funeral Home, 50 Moultonville Road, Center Ossipee, New Hampshire 03814.

i first met Harry in 1998. my bike had developed a weird chirp. Someone suggested i go see the best HD mechanic around, Harry Draper, 4 miles from my shop. I went up and saw him. He spent a minute looking at the bike and sez "ya broke the upper mtr mount. I have 2. OEM and chrome. Which do you want?" Our friendship began. Over the years Harry did a full rebuild/restore/upgrade, inside and out, on my 1981 FXWG (Wide Glide). He had owned the same model in years past and was in love with mine. She is as fast as she is pretty. Will beat a stock 113 in the 1/4 mile easily and stay wheel to wheel with one that has had the upgrades. She doesn't burp, pop thru the exhaust or leak. Job well done my friend. Hope they have Harleys in Heaven, and you are riding free.
