Harry Joseph Ehly Jr.

Harry Joseph Ehly, Jr., 87,of Ambler, formerly of Ardsley, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019. He was born in Philadelphia to the late Harry J. & M. Elizabeth Ehly. Harry was married to the one true love of his life, Lois Jane (nee Moreland), for 65 years. He was the loving father of the late Joseph A. Ehly (Joanne), Deborah J. Elsenbeck (Michael), Joyce E. Connolly (Myles) and Brian W. Ehly (Terry),. He was the cherished grandfather of Daniel, Kevin, Brendan, Michael, Ryan, Matthew, Bryanna and Nathanial and the great-grandfather of Michael. Harry graduated from Dobbins VoTech High School in 1950. He was a member of the Reformed Church since 1949, serving as Deacon, Elder and Vice President of Consistory. He was a veteran of the US Army. He was active in Boy Scout Troop 103 of Ardsley, PA. Harry was employed by Leeds & Northrup Company for 44 years and later by H & R Block for 20 years. Harry's family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 10:30 am at Gwynedd Estates, 301 Norristown Road, Ambler, PA 19002, where a Celebration of Life service will take place at 11 am. Per Harry's wishes, please do not wear black as we are celebrating his life. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of Harry J. Ehly Jr. may be made to the American Heart Association, 1617 John F. Kennedy Blvd #700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
