Harry retired from Alcan Aluminum after 35 years. He was a lifelong member of Victory Christian Center where he served as trustee as well as being the sound engineer for over 30 years. Harry was also a Kentucky Colonel.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Lahoma Gettings and his brother and sister-in-law Larry and Renee Gettings.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years Dixie Gettings of Henderson, KY; daughter Aimee Rodway (Jim) of Cadiz, KY; sons James Gettings (Shannon) of Henderson, KY and Michael Gettings (Patrice) of Henderson, KY; 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, niece Shannon Gettings Cruz and nephew Eric Gettings.
Relatives and friends are invited to Harry's Life Celebration from 1:00 p.m. until the service time on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Victory Christian Center in Henderson, KY. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church with Brother Jack Ross and Brother Jim Rodway officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Henderson, KY.
