Harry Hartranft Obituary
Born August 6, 1957 in Reading, he was the son of the late Harry Irvin Hartranft and Marilyn M. (Entzminger) Hartranft of Temple.
Harry was employed by Wernersville state correctional facility as a correctional officer for many years.
He was known to many as "Hollywood Harry". Harry enjoyed hunting and talking about his deer stories and singing his favorite song "Wooly Bully" but most of all he loved spending
time with his family, especially at the family pool.
He is survived by his mother; Marilyn and his sister; Sherry, wife of David Hinnershitz, of Temple.
Also surviving are a niece Krista L. Hartranft and two nephews Scott R.,(his godson), husband of Arianna Hinnershitz and Ryan I. Hinnershitz. In addition is his
great niece Maddy and great nephew Jayce and brother in law Bobby Rhodes of Texas.
Harry was preceded in death by his sister: Robin A. Rhodes; a brother Brian K. Hartranft and sister in law Donna L Hartranft.
Services are private at the convenience of the family.

Scott was my supervisor at SGI but he was also my friend. I am saddened by his loss and my condolences go to his family and friends. He and Mo Demsko took a chance on me and I have always been grateful for it. The world lost a great guy.

Scott was a supervisor at S.G.I. when I came to work for them. We had many occassions to talk and I recall with great clarity our times together. What stands out was his great humor. Isn't it true, our time here is so very short. It is to be treasured. God Bless Scott. You are in peace.

I´m met Harry when he was 12 years old. He was walking along the road and we needed help on the farm, and I asked him if he was willing to help to help I was only 14 and we became friends and stayed friends for 54 years and the funny part about it on Christmas night he called and he said ho ho ho it´s Santa Claus and I had a laugh. It was Harry. God bless he will be greatly missed!
