Marcella J. "Skoraszewski" Runyeon

Marcella J. Runyeon, 78, peacefully entered eternal rest on January 25, 2026. She was the daughter of the late Theodore Skorazewski and Violet V. Davidson (Meluskey) and stepdaughter to the late William T. Davidson.

Marcella was a 1965 graduate of Reading High School. Her early career was as a real estate agent for Rich Brandt Realty. For almost 30 years, she pursued a career in banking beginning as a teller and progressing to the title of Personal Banker having been last employed by Wells Fargo Bank. Prior to fully retiring in 2009, she was an Activity Assistant at ManorCare in Laureldale. She was also a foundational member of the Leesport Area Athletic Association, a community organization that still has roots today. Marcella first and foremost was a devoted wife and mother. Her marriage vows endured for 56 years to her late husband Rick R. Runyeon. As a wife and mother, she embodied what it means to be selfless. The depth of her love for her children was palpable in every possible way. Marcella enjoyed many things. She magnificently painted many seasonal ceramic pieces that are as beautiful today as they were many years ago. Her home was filled with antique furniture for which she was integral in restoring. Her holiday meals will be missed along with the poppyseed roll that was a Christmas tradition. Her ability to endure any obstacle with both inner strength and quiet fierceness will always be remembered and admired.

Marcella was truly a people person. She loved talking to everyone. Her personality was appreciated at The Highlands of Wyomissing where she last resided. She truly enjoyed the past times of playing mahjong, putting puzzles together, and dinner time with the friends she made.

Surviving are her son Stephen R. Runyeon of Wyomissing, daughter Tammy L. Kondisko (Runyeon) (husband, James Kondisko, Jr.) of Bernville, brother Theodore Skoraszewski (wife, Pamela) of New Ringgold, and her "baby," Keiser, a nearly 15-year-old Yorkie.

Marcella will be cremated and remembrance will be private at the convenience of the family.
