Mary Ellen,
We were so sorry to read of Harry's passing. We met both of you on one of the most memorable vacations of our lives to Mexico when you set it up for my stepdad Jerry Green back in 2004. Jerry talked so often and fondly of his times with you. I especially remember their Friday morning breakfasts. Please know we are thinking of you at this very sad time.

For the family: I've posted the link to Mr. Kepler's obit on Facebook's page DBF-Diesel Boats Forever, and these submariners are commenting.. The USS Dolphin was a diesel/electric submarine as was the one my late brother commanded. His name, too, was Harry, which means "commander." I found your information about Harry Kepler's music ability very interesting.

To the Kepler Family,
On behalf of the Charleston Base SUBVETS and Swamp Fox Chapter SUBVETS WWII, I offer you our sincere condolences on Harry's passing. We grieve with you on the loss of your loved one and our shipmate. The SUBVETS will have your family in our thoughts and prayers. There is no expiration date on the back of our dolphins and Harry, who earned his 'fish' when he qualified on USS DOLPHIN SS-169 during World War II, will always be remembered as a Brother of the Phin and a great Patriot.
