Harry Merlin Obituary
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Valerie, and his children: Timothy (Mary) Merlin, Mark Merlin, Joel (Crystal) Merlin, and Sarah (John Tackett) Merlin. He also leaves behind his siblings, David Merlin and Naomi Merlin; grandchildren Savannah (Joseph) Lawal, Stephen and Heather Morrison, Jonah and Nikolai Merlin, Stella Merlin-Tackett, and Tianze Qin; and great-grandchildren Annie and Alice Lawal. Harry's best friend, Dave Luckens, along with other close friends and many treasured in-laws, nieces, and nephews, will fondly remember him.
Harry was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Stella; his older sister, Sharon Merlin Thwing; his younger brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Debbi Merlin; his in-laws, Clayton and Patricia Scisco; and brothers-in-law, Clayton and Gerry Scisco.
Harry was a graduate of Lafayette High School and the University of Kentucky. He was a talented musician and songwriter.
A graveside service, officiated by Rabbi David Wirtschafter, will be held in March near Harry's birthday, where he will be laid to rest.
