Harry Walter Sweezey, age 86, of Panama City Beach, Fl. passed away at home on 29 October 2025. He was born to Harry Walter and Mabel Logue Sweezey on 27 September 1939 in Malden, Massachusetts. He will be remembered as a loving family-man, devoted Christian, Patriot, talented artist, and friend to all who knew him. Harry is predeceased by both his parents and his son Timothy Sweezey. He is survived by his wife Gwendolyn Sweezey, his daughter Karen Sweezey, his stepsons and their wives Scott and Nikka Hardin, and Stacey and Kelly Hardin, his grandchildren Britaney Sweezey, Bradley Hardin, Evan McDaniels, Aulden Burns, Kylie Hardin, Maddison Hardin, and great-grandchildren Eastyn Nolan and Clayton Cole. He also left behind his very best friend, his dog, Shadow.

Harry loved his country and served for 53 years. He served on Active Duty for 32 years; his service started with the Navy as a medical corps man he then served in the Army Air Corp (later known as the Air Force) as an enlisted pilot flying both planes and helicopters. He was a helicopter pilot when he transitioned to the Army where he finished his Active-Duty service. He retired from the Army as a Master Warrant Officer. He then served for 21 years in the Coast Guard Auxiliary. His awards include Army Service Ribbon, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal with Bronze Star device, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Legion of Merit, Overseas Service Ribbon with number two device, Army Good Conduct Medal, Navy Good Conduct Medal, Air Assault Badge, Master Army Aviator Badge and Parachutist Badge.

Funeral Services will be held on 22 November 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Thomas By-The-Sea Episcopal Church located at 20408 1st Avenue, Laguna Beach, FL. 32413.
