Harry G. Tittl passed away on December 24, 2022, in his home in Johnson City, NY, after a long battle with congestive heart failure and diabetes. He is predeceased by his mother, Anna Knott, and his father, Michael Tittl. He is survived by his wife of 42 years and the love of his life, Beverly Tittl, his son, Michael (& Sarah) Tittl, his daughter, Anna (& Chris) Lake, his grandchildren Ashley, Amyrah, and Oliver, his brother, Uwe Tittl, and his sister, Renate Severin.
Harry was born in Germany, and immigrated to the U.S. with his family when he was 5 years old. He lived in many locations throughout the U.S., including New York, New Jersey, and Florida. Before he retired, Harry was a mason just like his father. He was a member of the Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen Local 3 Union, and during family car rides, he would proudly point out buildings he had worked on over the years. He loved Harley Davidson Motorcycles and had several throughout his life, including his most recent shovelhead, "The Beast," that he gave to his son a few years ago when he could no longer ride due to his health. Harry was an avid fan of the Grateful Dead, and attended many of their concerts in the 80s and 90s. He also enjoyed watching wrestling, and could be found watching WrestleMania and Monday Night Raw almost every week. He loved reminiscing and telling stories of his glory days, his favorite being the time he wrestled a bear on stage.
It was Harry's wish, that his body was donated to Upstate Medical in Syracuse, NY, for medical science research, and there will be no services.
