Weiss, Harry "David" of House Springs, Missouri, was born October 11, 1953, in St. Louis, Missouri to Harry Orin and Marjorie (nee Clotfelter) Weiss and entered into rest Friday, April 11, 2025, at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 71.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harry and Marjorie (nee Clotfelter).
He is survived by his wife, Lisa (nee Schikore); his children Jonathan (Kendalynne) Weiss of St. Charles, Missouri and Emily Weiss; grandchildren, Ethan and Kaylea Weiss; sister, Barbara (Robert) Gorsky; best friend, Richard (Janie) Brandel; along with numerous nieces and nephews, and other extended family and friends.
David enjoyed volunteering his time with Scouts BSA, including mentoring many scouts toward their Eagle rank. He was recently awarded the District Merit award for his dedicated service. Among other hobbies, David enjoyed refurbishing antique tractors. He taught with Northwest R-1 School District for 25 years. He was also a long-term member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Eureka, MO. David was a caring friend who was quick to assist anyone who needed help with projects and known as the fixer of all things. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Graveside service and burial will be held on Friday, April 25, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Mortuary, 6300 Highway 30, Cedar Hill, MO 63016.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 14 from 3:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Bishop's Post, 16125 Chesterfield Pkwy W, Chesterfield, MO 63017.
