Hartley Hudson Obituary
Born in Fairton to the late Herbert and Lydian Frame Hudson, he was the husband of Adele Williams Hudson. Hartley had been a resident of Stow Creek for the past 50 years but had been raised in Fairton.
Prior to his retirement, Hartley had owned and operated the H&R Hardware Store in Upper Deerfield Twp. for 40 years. He had been previously employed by Owens Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton and had also renovated and refurbished houses in his free time. Hartley was also an avid freshwater and saltwater fisherman and his two favorite fishing spots were at his beach house in Florida and on Money Island.
He is survived by; his wife, Adele Hudson of Stow Creek Twp.; his son, Hartley Hudson, Jr of Fairton; his granddaughter, Jerica Hudson of Fairton and two brothers, Thomas Hudson of Greenwich and Augustus "Gus" Hudson of Florida. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by; his nephew, Andrew Hudson.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Written condolences can be sent to the family through the funeral home website at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
