Harvey O. Griffith, Jr., age 64, passed away May 26, 2025. He was born in Chicago, IL on November 24, 1960 to Harvey and Yvonne Griffith, Sr. Harvey was an avid basketball player in High School and College. Harvey had a no-nonsense attitude; he was always there for everyone. He was a loving friend, and he loved his family dearly.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Tim Griffith, Tyler Griffith, Erlicia (Justin) Matthews, Wesley (Chloe) Griffith, Daniel (Kailaya) Griffith and Jacob Griffith; grandchildren, Journie, Unity and soon to arrive Aria; sister, Cynthia (Earl) Merritt, brother, Robert Griffith and sister, Yolanda Griffith and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Kathy Johnson.
A celebration of Harvey’s life will be held at a later date, please check back for further details for a date, place and times.
