Harvey F. Lang, age 86, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 26, 2024, at Prairie Home Assisted Living in Menasha. On May 20, 1938, Harvey Frank was one of five children born to Harvey and Ruth (Kaehler) Lang in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Upon graduating from high school, he took some classes and earned his Machinist Apprenticeship through Milwaukee Area Technical College. In 1972 he moved to Neenah where he helped start Webex. He worked there for 41 years until his retirement in 2013. When he was younger, his family would make yearly trips to their cottage on Chute Pond. It's there where he met his sweetheart from the cottage next door, Sharan Mix. Years later, they would marry on September 14, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois. Together they raised four children and they loved watching their families grow. Harvey and Sharan enjoyed traveling and took to the oceans for cruising adventures. They were members of a couple of Neenah Bowling Associations and held positions as President and Secretary. Later they would help with State Bowling Tournaments. In addition to bowling, Harvey loved fishing, golfing, midget sprint car racing, fantasy football, and Irish music.
Harvey loved his family and spending time with them was his favorite pastime and he will be greatly missed by his wife of 61 years, Sharan; their children: Lori (David) Nett, Shawn (Lori) Lang, Dawn (John) Forcey, and Kari Boor; his grandchildren: Alexander and Patrick (Shannon) Lang, Ariel (Tyler Brown) and Anna (fiancé, Keenan Kircher) Forcey; his brothers: Ross Lang, Gary (Jan) Lang, and Ken Lang; his brother-in-law, Terry (Rachel) Mix; and many other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Kathy Werderitch.
Harvey's wishes were to have no services.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Prairie Home Assisted Living in Menasha for their loving care and kindness given to Harvey during his short stay.
