Harvey Thomas Ogden Jr.

Harvey Ogden of Glasgow, DE passed away peacefully on October 12, 2025, with his loving family by his side, at the age of 82.
Born on January 7, 1943. Harvey affectionately known as "Tommy" was the beloved son of Harvey and Florence Ogden. He lived a life defined by hard work, kindness to friends, and unwavering devotion to his wife, Mary Lee.
A proud U.S. Army Veteran, Harvey served his nation with honor and carried the same sense of integrity throughout his life as a Foreman for Worthy Brothers Pipeline for nearly 30 years. Harvey enjoyed working in the construction trades with family and friends. Outside of work, Harvey spent his time gardening and hunting, and he was also a lifelong Philadelphia Phillies and Eagles fan, rarely missed a game, and loved talking about sports with family.
Above all else, Harvey was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His greatest joy came from being surrounded by family, especially with having 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. His warmth, humor, and steady guidance will live on in all who were blessed to know him.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 51 years, Mary Lee, and loving daughter, Thomasina (Sina) Finnegan.
He is survived by his children, Terry and husband Broox Vaughn, Christine and husband Jeff Funk, Harvey and wife Becky, son-in-law Brian Finnegan, grandchildren, Beth, Broox, Katie, Jeffrey, Brianna, Tommy, Alexis, and Sophia, great-grandchildren, Reese, Brooke, James, Max, and Landen. Brothers, Mike and Richard Ogden.
He will be missed by his loved ones.
A funeral service will be held at Connection Community Church, 4744 Summit Bridge Road in Middletown, DE on Monday, October 27th, 2025, at 10:00 am. Viewing will be from 9-10 am. Burial with military honors will follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Connection Community Church in memory of Harvey T Ogden Jr.
